What we collect

• Account details: your email address, username and display name. Your password is stored only as a scrambled (hashed) value. We cannot read it.
• Your activity: the videos you like, save and follow, the comments you post, and any reports you send.
• Technical data: your IP address and basic request details, kept in server logs for security and to prevent abuse.
• Anonymous visit counts: to see how many people use Noir, we count visits and page views. We do not store your IP address or browser details for this, and we use no cookies. Each visitor is turned into a scrambled code that changes every day, so nobody can be followed from one day to the next. We only keep totals, the type of device (phone, tablet or computer) and which website sent you. If your browser sends “Do Not Track” or “Global Privacy Control”, we do not count you at all.

What is stored in your browser

Noir saves a sign-in token and your “I am 18 or older” confirmation in your browser's local storage so you stay signed in and are not asked every time. Noir does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Third parties

• Our fonts are loaded from Fontshare, and a video-playback library may load from Cloudflare's CDN. Those services can see your IP address when they deliver files.
• Our website is hosted by [HOSTING PROVIDER]. Our sign-in, database and video storage are provided by Supabase, which processes data on our behalf and can see your IP address when you use the site.
• We do not sell your data.

How we use it

To run your account, show you your likes and saves, keep the site safe, review reports, and answer your questions. We may share information with the authorities where the law requires it, for example to report illegal content.

How long we keep it

We keep your account until you ask us to delete it. Reports and moderation records are kept for as long as we need them for safety and legal reasons.

Your choices

Adults only

Noir is only for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone younger.
